The best part about this is the crowd not realizing what the fuck they are witnessing.

    Totally serious.

    Science and all.

Time travel is the easy part. Constructing the actual time machine is bit more difficult. There are various methods we know we can use to achieve time travel.

For example, expanding and stabilizing a quantum wormhole (or just building a macroscopic one) and towing one end into a high gravity field like the event horizon of a black hole or (the safer alternative) the periphery of a neutron star. Then you tow it back, and whenever you go in one end you come out the other at a different point in time based on the amount of exposure that end had to said high gravity field.

The only problem with this method is it's impossible to go back in time beyond the point at which the wormhole was first created/expanded. So you can't visit the dinosaurs or anything that way (and good thing, too. grandfather paradoxes etc).

BUT, If you really want to go fuck a triceratops, it is theoretically possible to travel backwards in time by navigating the event horizons of two colliding black holes. Good luck surviving that trip, though.

Really, we have time travel. It's the machine to do it with that's the problem. You can't travel through time while staying on the planet Earth. Even Superman had to fly out to the Earth's orbit in order to break the light-speed barrier and travel backwards in time in Superman 2. Lack of spaceships means lack of time travel.

Nigga, hell no. The concept in your fucking head is simple lol. There is a LARGE divide between your imaginations perception of how "easy" something is and the logistics of making such a claim reality lol. That shit worked when I was gone, but im back now. Take that ho shit back to goddamn GD and eat a dick. Im flattered that you chose to grace BG with this knowledge first and leapfrog folks the likes of Alan Guth and Ronald Mallett, who have worked tirelessly and postulated a lifetimes worth of time into making something like this come to fruition. You should submit your research and implementation, they have a nobels and infinite money with your name on it my friend.

As a responsible.....whatever it is that you do, you should know first and foremost that there is a responsibility in the science community to flap at the mouth at how "easy" something is, especially making time travel realistically happen. Going to print this comedic gold and share this with some higher ups. Figured id make someone elses Monday Get the fuck out of here with that shit.

Nigga why you gotta be so mad tho? The man said time travel, not time machine. The difference between the drawing board and jumpin' back to save your parents' proms is huge, but that don't mean we don't have half a dozen different ways to do it in theory. In theory. Never said otherwise.

And yeah sure, if you want to say it's irresponsible to understate the difference between the hypothetical and the real-world implementation of half of anything that falls under into the realm of relativity that's cool. I was unaware that the random bullshit I post in spam was such srs bsns. Maybe you should ride my nuts a little harder.

On a serious note, I would rather pique people's interests with the fantastic than ignore the topic until we have a working model/prototype. Do you really think the average internet forum poster has the background or the inclination to understand the nuances involved in moving from hypothetical framework to working model to functional prototype? Absolutely not. But that doesn't mean that they don't have the potential to be interested in science.

If someone has a passion for time travel, I'd rather them know it's on the table and have them potentially pursue it (gaining the background to understand the current limitations of its application) than have them go back to their day job thinking it's impossiburu. It's the responsibility of the scientist to be honest about where we are, but it's also the responsibility of the scientist to inspire. It is possible to have both.

well to extend the comparison, I think it's safe to say we lack the right body to achieve immortality
