FAQ
What is a Torment Dungeon?
Torment Dungeons are a new type of dungeon where you face very tough dungeon fights against waves of monsters and a boss round in order to get Job Motes in order to unlock the useage and gain Record Dive 6* Abilities.
Stamina Requirements?
Your stamina has to be at minimum the level the dungeon requires in order to enter, so if a dungeon had a 60 stamina requirement, you obviously need 60 minimum to enter.
Do I lose Stamina if I lose?
No, if you fail to win the dungeon, you get your stamina refunded just like as in Multiplayer.
Can I mythril restart the fight if I lose?
No, you cannot, you lose and you're done.
Difficulty Tier?
Difficulty Tier is D200/D250, so about on par with Mote Dungeons, with D250 being more close to how Mote Ifrit is.
Is it just a boss fight?
No, you have to fight D200/D250 level tier 5-7 waves of trash BEFORE you even face the boss, so make sure your abilities are well honed, use BSBs too if you got them, will go a long way to conserve ability useage.

Ugh. I don't even know how I'm going to pull CMs out on this. Are the rewards for CMs decent?
-
torment CMs reward crystals so yeah, they're actually pretty great.
i have enough bursts generally where i'm not worried about clearing these, but i'm not confident about the CM. while my V synergy is very good, my only in-realm burst is faris' so i'm not sure how doable this will be.
-
A couple non-burst SBs that are super helpful for the CM that some of you may have laying around are Exdeath's Grand Cross, and Faris's Sea Lord Broadside, both of which provide some much needed mitigation for the boss, and GC would allow Exdeath to spam unlimited meteors/meltdowns to help with damage or unlimited curadas if you decide to make him a healer.
I did find a page listing the stats and AI for the D200 version here: http://pastebin.com/krbszcmk , I believe the skillsets are the same on D250 but higher stats. Basically, each one has a weak phase below 50% where AoE frequency increases, so you'll want a good chunk of AoE damage but you might want to be careful about reaching the weak phase on all 3 of them simultaneously as the AoE spam might prove overwhelming. The green one (earth weak) has the highest probability of using AoEs, as well as the highest SPD rating of the three so hes the biggest threat. Also, you have 20 seconds (1 wall cast lasts 25 seconds for reference) once you kill one of them to complete the fight, or else they revive and you may as well S/L.
-
While that's true you basically have to deal with the AoE spam anyway. There's no way to kill two of them from 50% in 20s at these difficulties, especially 250. Thankfully I have Sea Lord Broadside and Exdeath's magic blink SSB so I should be ok for the CM.
X is gonna suck because I have no Medica :/

BG Medical's Student of Medicine
I have no medica in V. I'm screwed.

Absolute Messenger of Promathia
Mild error. Heading is "Do I lose stamina if I win?" Based on context of what follows I assume it's suppose to be "if I lose"

BG's most likeable Québécois

At the same time, i have no fucking idea how to approarch this w/e it's the 200 or the 250 fight lol. 250 i might just got AOE mage way, but i'm scared to waste too many hones on single target trash mobs
As for 200, well I do have OK SBs CM
Bartz, SSB Choco Romp and BSB
Galuf Invincible SB
Faris Sea lord and BSB
Krile Sheepsong
Exdeath Neo almagast (iirc some AOE dark dmg + Magic blink)
Gilgamesh his first SB (Death claw)
Nothing for Dorgaan or Lenna
-
Hackey Thread Lurker since 2010
I think I can do this CM.
Greg BSB
Lenna Cura + regen medica
Faris - Kindred Spirit
Exdeath - Run him as Black Mage despite having both his Blink and his En-Dark SBs. R5 Ruinga + R2 Meteor most likely
Galuf - Invincible SB
I may end up diving Faris for Dancer 5 though. That will mean getting the Magic Breakdown to R4 and Multi Break to R3. So many hard decisions.
-
BG Medical's Student of Medicine
This was fucking hard.

Be prepared for a LONG fight. If you have synergy the trash isn't bad.
Your hones need to be at LEAST R4.
-
finished 200 with regular party, tried with CM and ran out of hones before the hp bars even reached their names
edit: 250... yeah... no.
-
Cleared CM after about 15 s/l on the boss with the following:

SBs used:
Dorgann - MAG/ATK buff SSB
Lenna - Pride of Tycoon
Exdeath - Grand Cross + Neo Almagest
Faris - Kindred Spirit + Imperil Wind SSB
Krile - Sheepsong
Tauntaliate helped a lot with the trash and eliminated the need for protect on the boss. Lots of S/L due to aoe spams and a few close calls where they revived right before I could finish the job.
-
I tried doing the CM but I need to go back to the drawing board to figure out something that works. I did smash it with my mage team though.
Now I'm just waiting on stam to try the 250 with that team.

BG Medical's Student of Medicine
Currently in D250 pulling my hair out.
-
Lost 4 medals on D250 with my mage A-team... damnit

Gotta redo both since I didn't plan for mastery on the CM run
-
I have this as my current setup for 200 CM. Any suggestions? Not planning on going in until Wednesday but wanted to get something ready for then.
-
BG Medical's Student of Medicine
Your party setup, not ability right? On Faris you need Frolic Sarabande (sorry) + Multi Break (Halting Rumba won't work); everything else looks kosher but you may find it a little crazy. Just go as ham as you can. I think with Celes I had to use Indomitable Blade almost 3 times throughout D200.
Edit: Cor I had never thought of taking a mage meta in there. I wonder how well they'd fare considering how hard the pigs hit.
