Entry level android smart phone

We're searching for a phone for the lady. We'll be ordering thru ebay and a friend will bring over from the US; she wants something under 300 bucks with a 5 or 8mp camera and I'd like it to be a recent phone thought we dont want nor are looking for the latest and greatest.
Been looking at xperia mini pro and htc one but still looking for suggestions.

Tl;dr WTB android phone with 5 or 8mp camera under 300 dollars, with shipping to LA.

OH derp me, we're (were) looking for an unlocked GSM phone.
I think she decided on an xperia mini pro which is like... 1 year old but they got JB running on it over at xda, that'll do me thinks.
