Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! (PC/PS3/360/WiiU/3DS)

In addition, a sequel to WayForward’s Adventure Time game is on the way this fall, and not just for the 3DS—Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! will also be headed to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC, so that is pretty frigging cool. The game will feature voicework from the show’s cast, and will feature playable characters in the form of Finn, Jake, Marceline, Cinnamon Bun, and some more that have yet to be revealed. The game’s going to feature four-player cooperative play, also—which sounds MATHEMATICAL (that’s how you know I watch the show). This one…I’m looking forward to this one, for sure. I have a feeling this game will be a downloadable title, but I’m not sure. Just a guess there.

The one on the 3DS was pretty good, but it was very short.

Get the Peppermint Butler for free with pre-order, $2 after launch
    http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5345/1...cb5629f0_z.jpg
Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! hits a plethora of game consoles this fall. However, if you’re interested in snagging the loot-dropping, dungeon-crawling title from WayForward on PC, you now have more incentive to pre-order the game: a free character.

If you choose to pre-order the game on Steam before its release, you’ll receive the Peppermint Butler character from the Adventure Time television show free of charge. His active power involves curing curses of effected characters, and his passive power allows him to scare away Death (another character from the show).

If you don’t pre-order the game but still want Peppermint Butler as a playable fighter in your mathematical roster, you can always buy him as DLC after the game comes out for $1.99.

But THEN AGAIN, there’s dozens of characters already in this game… so you might be OKAY either way, given you’re not a huge Peppermint Butler fan (but who isn’t these days). I’ll probably get the game on Wii U to play with my friends, since I have about 4 useless Wii remotes laying around that could serve better purpose than chew toys for my kitten.

D3Publisher and Cartoon Network Enterprises today announced Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! is now available for the Wii U system from Nintendo, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC for $39.95 suggested retail price. The Nintendo 3DS hand-held system version is also available for $29.95 SRP for the Standard Edition or $39.95 SRP for the Collector's Edition that includes a limited edition BMO package design in a glossy premium SteelBook case, a bonus DVD with actor interviews, storyboard art from series creator Pendleton Ward and more, and a 'Finn and Jake's Dungeon Guide' filled with fun art and game tips.

Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! is an action adventure game with a completely new storyline from Pendleton Ward, the creator of the Emmy Award-nominated Adventure Time television series, in collaboration with game developer WayForward. The video game is the follow-up to the mathematical, algebraic, and radical release of last year's IGN Editors' Choice recipient Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!!

The adventure begins in the Land of Ooo as players help Princess Bubblegum save the Candy Kingdom by exploring the mysteries surrounding a massive Secret Royal Dungeon. Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! features the voices of the show's most popular characters and players can select from multiple fan-favorite characters with up to four players, including Finn, Jake, Marceline, Ice King, and more. A wide selection of upgrades is available at the player's disposal and they can showcase a number of attack moves, special abilities, and skills to defeat baddies throughout the dungeon.

"There are many surprises for fans to unveil in the game and what can be better than to unlock these mysteries with your friends and with your favorite Adventure Time characters," said Peter Andrew, vice president of production, D3P. "The talented collaboration of Pendleton Ward and the team at WayForward is sure to offer the most immersive Adventure Time video game experience yet!"

"One of the most compelling features of Adventure Time is the diverse and expansive world of characters that it contains, and D3Publisher and WayForward have successfully tapped in to that world to create an immersive interactive experience for fans," said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, North America for CNE. "With fan-favorite characters, a great storyline, and engaging gameplay, this year's Adventure Time game should satisfy fans of all ages."
