    Idea for travel

I actually never traveled in my life And I think it would be a good time to start.

I would like to travel for 1-2 weeks in July and my budget is around 1-2k for that 1-2 week

Budget don't include plane tickets and hotel.

So the 1-2k would be food souvenir and places to visit

Reason why my budget is so low is that I'm buying a house so lots of money to invest there.

    Also I would travel alone.

    Thanks for the tips

Needs more info. How much are you willing to spend on travel. Do you have a passport? Do you mind traveling oversea? Are you an art or history buff, or prefer a tropical locale or would rather go somewhere for the food?

1-2k spending money sounds like way more than enough for most places, I'm not even sure if we spent that much on our honeymoon!

I though it was obvious that if I don't include plane tickets price, that I means I don't kind going anywhere

Destinations has not been decided so anywhere is fine.

I do not have a passport but its easy to get

Like i said I'm open to anything I just want a good time for 1-2 week away from home

It's the furthest you'll ever get from Quebec. Also, the night market is a rush.

Submit passport application as early as possible, regardless. Those fucks can randomly be slow as hell and decide to take months.

Solo? Don't bother unless you can speak and read the language.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Can go somewhere nice on a cruise. They are all inclusive so you can basically get the whole vacation from the price of your ticket. On the land days usually activities cost about $100 each. Can go to the beach or swim with dolphins or go shopping.

Second. My cousin went on a Disney cruise for her honeymoon, and my friend went on a fishing cruise up by Alaska for a family vacation. Both had very good experiences.

Laos, one of the most gorgeous countries on earth and it's pretty damn cheap once you're there. There is a lot of really cool ancient history (temples, unexplained ancient stone pots, etc) and a lot of natural beauty to just sit back and appreciate. I'd recommend spending two weeks since a week is just a tease. Might have to fly into Thailand depending on where you're going, but that isn't really a problem.

Even Buddha is chill as fuck in Laos.

I would recommend going to Europe. If you love art and wine, Italy is a excellent location. Florence is particular gorgeous and since you are really close to the northern most part of the country, you can easily visit France, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, or Croatia.

I'd recommend Thailand. I know American's don't need a Visa 30 day visa on arrival). I think you're Canadian, right? Not sure what the protocol for them is. You'd get more bang for your buck in SEA. Laos was already mentioned, but I can't speak for that country because I've only been to the rural parts to buy cheap shit there.

For what it's worth, we did an all-expenses-included trip to one of the resorts in Jamaica. Our resort was in Negril. There are resorts that cater to both couples as well as singles.

The food was amazing (we were at a Couples resort), and I'll never forget floating around a pool for hourrssssss at a time next to the swim-up bar getting wasted.

    Don't forget sunscreen!
