This is actually a good move for future situation when the actual Token battery dies. The only issue is, for someone like me, is when you have TWO Square Enix Account Management accounts for 2 different characters. What then?

Wasn't there a silly theory in how the randomly generated number could be intercepted? I forget but I recalled it only affected 2 people (1 being the OP) and it got fully blown into some scare mongering thread. But to me it just sounded like "keylogger" but I forget. Lets see if I could find the thread lol

The idea was:
* Hacker DCs you
* You log back in with an unused 1-time security code
* Hacker crashes your POL after you enter the code and blocks it from being sent to SE
* Hacker logs in to your account using the valid 1-time security code that you just generated
* Hacker messes up your POL install so that you can't attempt to log in anymore
* Hacker takez ur gilz

In truth this is overly complicated and I'm fairly sure it's not even necessary to get a one-time password to hack one-time password protected accounts. If you're looking for a reason that account hackings stopped, I'd be inclined to point to the precipitous drop in the value of accounts that accompanied the WotG years.

Yeah, that's what I was referencing lol. It just would be amusing if that happened with the phone app too.
