Procedure
To confirm the materials needed to reforge your equipment, speak to Monisette in Port Jeuno (I-8). When asked what equipment you are interested in, select “Relic Equipment”.
Once you have procured the requisite materials, trade them to Monisette and she will have the equipment reforged for you.

Reforged Equipment Item Levels
The maximum item level to which these pieces of equipment may be reforged is 119. However, as of the February 18, 2014 version update, only headgear, handgear, and footgear may be reforged to this level.

Note
The number of materials needed to reforge relic equipment varies depending on its current state, as outlined below from least materials required to most.

Augmented Relic +2 < Non-augmented Relic +2 < Relic +1 < Relic

From the stats page it looks like augments are lost upon upgrading. Is that really the case?

No when you look at them in the menu you can hit your menu button and brings up their augments so they are all augmented.

Follows similar path as reforged AF gear 2 mats (one for slot, one for job)

+2(augment) -> RF = 5 pages of rems tales.

+2(no augment) -> RF = 10 pages

+1 -> RF = 10 pages + 100 currency

NQ->RF 10 pages + 200 currency

+1 reforged relic requires a delve boss synth mat + a VW boss synth mat, once again on a job/slot basis

Quick glancing over of SMN AF:
Head: Looks to be the new MAB BP head. Surprising.
Body: Might flat out replace Caller's. Might have to retire the entire set now...
Hands: Good for skill, not much else. Practically drowning in -BPDelay I.
Legs: Worthless. FFS SE, can you fucking make a pair of pants SMN want to wear?
Feet: Only -1 BPDelay II on them is a bit disappointing. I'm no mathologist but they might be the best physical BP feet around.

So... 4/5. I wish SE would make us some new pants...

I'd love a second opinion on this. Making sure I'm not insane.

Im not sure because honestly speaking thats all the armor has. Meh magic accuracy, little to no fast cast, nothing that really jumps out to me as omg gotta get this.


As for smn gear, Im not sure if RF2 body is better idle body over hagondes. You give up 1 perp cost and 2 refresh for avatar crit rate+8%... Thats not bad.

RF1 head and body I think still fare better for +10% bp dmg.

Hands give avatar haste, so thats probably best idling hands now.

Not sure about feet though. They are best for Sp. Blood pacts due to augment but for other BPs... not so much?

SP? You mean physical BPs? As far as I am aware, SP BPs still want MAB, which you can get better sources from.

Damane that is exactly what was infuriating me as i read thru all the relic peices. cor/brd gettin pdt and geo gettin nothing. maybe empy gear will have 50 pdt on each to make up for it! jk

I'm a little bit confused... so if i upgrade an unaugmented piece of +2 into 109 i'll still get the augment? If thats true, i'm very happy.

So say i have a piece of relic armor, or a +1 piece, or a +2 piece but don't have it augmented. Will it get the augment when i upgrade it to 109? If it doesn't, how do i augment it if i've upgraded it? If It does, fuck yeah!

This puts a market price on forgotten items for the near future. AF2 -> AF2+2 will cost 2x 100 currency, so at 600k per hundred the forgottens should be 1.2 mil / 50 forgottens = 24k each.
