Didn't they only start filming the first episode last week? Last season opened with Walt being a whole year older with hair buying a big gun. Could be another cold open for the new season that takes place in the future.

Yeah that's what I assumed. The house looks like shit so they've obviously been gone a while. I bet he drives by or something just for old time's sake after he leaves the Dennys.

Rian Johnson (director of the movie "Looper") just confirmed via Twitter that he's directing ep 6 of the final 8 eps. He also did "Fly" in season 3 and "Fifty-One" in season 5.

not sure if this has been posted anywhere, did a quick search through this thread and the forums and didn't find it, pretty good interview, watched the whole thing, just wish stern would've shut up instead of interrupting all the time, but thats typically what he does, so not surprising.
