i just started getting into it, all i have right now is a $10 toy walther ppk/s. it's huge out here in Korea, i'm hoping to eventually pick up some better equipment so i can join in some of the events they throw, they look like a lot of fun. right now saving up for a gbb pistol, and looking around for options for a sniper rifle.
i had no idea it was as big as it is though. i owned a couple of bb guns as a kid, and that's all they were to me... kid toys to fool around with. now i've been seeing these devotees, owning a bunch of gear including guns in the multi-thousand dollar range, with ridiculous options and equipment... it's insane. all so they can fight a fake war.
but then again i suppose to some it would be ridiculous to see the thousands of dollars i have spent on my computer equipment so i can save fake worlds from fake enemies by fighting fake wars... to each his own i suppose. but yeah unless i win the lottery or something i doubt i'll be more than a dabbler with airsoft. may $1000 or so tops worth of static equipment and that's it
Midway between nerf guns and paintball. No purpose imo.
I play paintball here, and we have a solid group of about 10 guys i roll with. Airsoft isn't here on island at all, lol.
Like some others, I'm a paintball guy.
Don't have to worry about range at long distances when you play speedball![]()
Played in middle school. Always ended up doing something else when we got tired of reloading, which took about 10 minutes.
Lol, I should have seen the good 'ol "Airsoft vs. Paintball" fight.
Every game of paintball I have ever played has come down to who brings more paintballs to the fight. then there's the majority of paintballplayers that I've met who are completely arrogant cocks.
For me, airsoft is all about fun at the least expense possible. And also running my fat ass around in order to get some kind of exercise.
Paintballs are usually a 2k case for 40 bucks, then you gotta worry about getting CO2 and blah blah blah blah, and after 50 feet accuracy is a joke.
Then there's airsoft... electricity is free, BBs can be as cheap as 15 bucks for 4k, but usually bought by weight. accuracy is fantastic... plus NO MESS! sure you get those occasional ironhide assholes, but enough pain will get someone to call their hits.
Paintballer here playing at wcppl may 15th.
oh snap
also, if you go to the 3rd marker down on the gear tab, that's what i have. @.@ COLLECTING BODIES, SON
Never tried airsoft but have played paintball a good deal. Biggest paintball trip I've been on was about 10 or so people, we all drove out to skirmish in jim thorpe, pa.

700 acres of paintball fields. it was a bit expensive since none of us had our own guns or anything but it was well worth it to be able to play paintball in giant castles and shit, we went out for the weekend and had a blast. even despite it downpouring towards the end of the first day, that just made running around in the mud even more fun. though the walk back to the cars and drive to camp were a bit messy.
dear lord, that looks glorious
Oh I'm all set for funds, shit just adds up even with having a team sponser for paint.
Figure for a speedball weekend event, my team will shoot about 20-25 cases of paint..... So yea, that side of paintball gets expensive.
Also, I played at skirmish a few weeks ago for their "Stailingard" event. 650 v 650 with majority of the fields in play for the entire day. The event was absolutely amazing
