So my S3's power/lock button is stuck/sticking/broken and the phone basically thinks its always being held down, it tries to power itself off, spam locks and unlocks itself like crazy, and is just plain frustrating. I tried opening it to clean it or fix it but I can't really get to it and I can't tell whats wrong with it by looking at it even from the inside with some plastics removed.

So I have squaretrade... I paid like $90 for coverage back when I got the phone in July 2012. I'm like, lets do this, no problem. Squaretrade wants a $99 deductible and for me to mail them the phone, wait while they try and fix it, and then they'll mail it back either fixed or with money to replace it. Thats like a week without a phone, fuck that. They also have the option of using a "local repair shop" but don't really state where they are, say I'll have to pay for it myself and they'll reimburse.

Anyone have any experience with squaretrade and smartphones before? Paying 90$ for the coverage, and now a 99$ deductible is fucking maddening. That's $200, a new fucking phone. My contract with Verizon is until July of 2014, and I don't know when I'm gonna get the chance to upgrade.
