hotspot tethering

ok, so i have a nokia lumia 1020, was working fine to tether my laptop (a samsung core i5) with windows 8, then with the update to 8.1 everything went to hell and i have been completely unable to figure this out

so now, on windows 8.1, i can connect my laptop to my hotspot, but it shows up as limited connection and then will bluescreen my laptop, i can still tether to anything running windows 8 or 7 fine, i can connect my laptop to my buddies android hotspot fine

any ideas?

I would say if you're getting a blue screen Google the error message and find out what it's actually doing.

If you don't know how to find blue screen error : http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/foru...rror-messages/ (disclaimer, I didn't read this at all I just Googled how to blue screen error).

8.1 might have a conflict with your network driver or something, also make sure you're up to date on windows updates.
