"Expansion pack data has not been installed"

Soooo updated my laptop so I can log into one of my char to reduce lag on my main PC. Get told adoulin isn't installed... (whaaat)

Do I gotta fiddle with something or should I head over to the megathread and download me the entire patch? Figured I'd have the data installed via POL but guess not.

How exactly did you "update" your laptop? Was there anything involved such as upgrading .Net 4.0 to 4.5 ? (when I had an update problem, it was because of that and I had to uninstall that, go download 4.0, reinstall, etc). But not sure how exactly you would go from having Adoulin installed to not.

(PS: The dotNet issue had more to do with stuff like windower not booting than it did FFXI itself)

Redownload the 200ish mb install file from various websites, I bought my expansion on amazon, so can download from there when ever

Did you ever install the expansion on the laptop? Or was it just installed on your PC? POL wont install the entire expansion on its own if you don't have the initial expansion files installed, just the shared files.

You could just Copy&Paste the entire FFXI folder from your working PC to the laptop and overwrite all the files that are different and that would work as well.
