It isn't even about hating fat people, it's hating delusional people
Dat pic ^ is funny as fuck because the bitch is making fun of height, something you can't change... and then gets SUPER OFFENDED by getting made fun of her weight, something you can change
I loved those pics delusional fatties talking about their dorito genetics
This is the next chapter though.. fat reddit mods/admins/partners/ceo(? probably, wont even bother checking though) getting buttmad about people being made fun of the same delusions they have. Oh lawd. And of course the other, way more hateful, reddit subs are up. Oh the delusions
edit: couldn't help myself and did the research, ceo isn't fat. Just a mega feminist who's done poor business decisions because of it before
There's no possible way this will backfire. I seem to recall imgur banning NSFW posts and that went exactly as expected.
What exactly are "fat subs"? >_>
Strangely enough they said the policy that they have for banning boards is something like "we don't ban ideas, we ban harassment". Which is why I guess they have r/sexyfetuses still up.
https://np.reddit.com/r/announcement...ng_subreddits/Today we are announcing a change in community management on reddit. Our goal is to enable as many people as possible to have authentic conversations and share ideas and content on an open platform. We want as little involvement as possible in managing these interactions but will be involved when needed to protect privacy and free expression, and to prevent harassment.
It is not easy to balance these values, especially as the Internet evolves. We are learning and hopefully improving as we move forward. We want to be open about our involvement: We will ban subreddits that allow their communities to use the subreddit as a platform to harass individuals when moderators don’t take action. We’re banning behavior, not ideas.
Today we are removing five subreddits that break our reddit rules based on their harassment of individuals. If a subreddit has been banned for harassment, you will see that in the ban notice. The only banned subreddit with more than 5,000 subscribers is r/fatpeoplehate.
While we do not always agree with the content and views expressed on the site, we do protect the right of people to express their views and encourage actual conversations according to the rules of reddit.
Thanks for working with us. Please keep the feedback coming.

With hundreds of subreddits to choose from why would someone go into one that they felt harassed? If you are triggered by words on the screen it is easy enough to avoid.
This is going over well.

Yishan Wong, the site's former CEO, has stated that "We stand for free speech. This means we are not going to ban distasteful subreddits. We will not ban legal content even if we find it odious or if we personally condemn it."
Ellen Pao, the site's current CEO, has stated that "My feels, I can't even"Spoiler: show
shamelessly copy/pasted from reddit posts
Idk if it is me getting older or the influx of the radical politically correct groups, but I'm becoming less interested in seeing what the world has become through the internet. I'm thinking in a year or two I'll only get online to look something up(instructions, video, map, etc.) or buy something and avoid the social aspect of it.
Isn't Reddit essentially just a big forum system? Why wouldn't people just go to a different forum to laugh at fat people?
It's probably the getting older bit. There will always be places that fight politically correct BS
I think of it more as a cycle that just exists. Reddit's gotten very big, and here come the political correct BS crew to capitalize. I can't tonight but in the next few days I'll definitely go researching and asking about Ellen Pao's rise to interim CEO - who da fuk allowed such a thing
From reddit posts I discern the same thing happened to Digg a long time ago. They got a bunch of people involved that want maximum money and the site lost its userbase over some time and went over to reddit.
It's definitely an interesting topic from a business/political standpoint. I wonder if this Ellen lady and the rest of the SJW crew there knew what was going to happen after this decision to start policing the website
