New Shantotto Pants

I've been trying to figure out if/how I can get rid of my old pants rewarded from Shantotto Ascension and get new pants with new augments. I haven't been able to figure it out though.

Is this possible? How would I go about it?

I thought you just chucked them and reactivate the final BC quest, then redo the fight for the ki?

Been awhile but I think you have to go back and reget at least 1 hex

How do I reactivate the final BC quest? Can I reactivate it before I drop my current pants?

I remember dropping mines, getting some ki or whatever, and going to the BC entrance and you can enter 'project shanttotofication' right way. As long as its not in your inventory the moment you win, it should flag the ki and you can reacquire it? (been years)

You only need 1 hex to enter but each one gives you a buff for the fight. You can buy all 16 or w/e from the gob in port jeuno for I think beastmen seals. You have to toss your old pants before you enter or you won't get a new Key to get new pants. The fight is super easy now so you can probably skip the buffs if you want to just get 1 hex.

While we're at it, any suggestions for BST pants? Besides "Sic/Ready delay -5", I was thinking of getting pet magic accuracy. Any thoughts?

Ha thought you might be getting sic. Macc wouldn't be horrible I guess for bst but wouldn't do much. If you have other jobs you play that could use it you might want to be a split pants for more than 1 job. I think phantom roll, waltz and repair augments are still pretty good

Yeah the Waltz augment is not a bad idea.

Soooooo now I'm trying to get a new Apocalypse Nigh earring and I'm not sure how to do that. I went to the Empyreal Paradox and clicked on the thing, but no fight options came up. Maybe I need to just drop the earring first, but I didn't want to try that before asking.

Have to toss your old earring first then click the ??? in the Empyreal Paradox and choose to erase the quests. Then you'll need to do Shadows of the Departed again (the 3 promyvion memory things) and then you can redo Apocalypse Nigh.
