Gave: Nothing, yet. Gift-giving is done in a casual manner in my family. I'm planning on getting my grandnephews one of those tunnel spring things kids can crawl through. Still dunno what to get my parents. They don't want gadgets/trinkets, giving money would just be lazy/meaningless, and there arent a lot of venues i can think of that would have shit they're interested in at a price i could afford. I'll probably get the some fancy candies. Those always go over well.

Received: Lego Mindstorms EV3, some accessories for it, a bunch of Lego Power Functions motors/IR receivers/cables, a Lego sorting device, a pair of comfy PJs, a pair of comfy moccasins, tortoise food and a new UVB light, and a badass Levenger fountain pen. More Lego on the way.

The reason for all the power function and robotics Lego is the FLL team i've been working on. I'm going to see if we can get the kids the EV3 for next year, which has several advantages over the current NXT kits they have. I can teach the kids better if I learn the software myself at home. I was talking about all this with my parents (in the context of me wanting to save up for my own EV3 and some of the projects i have in mind) and they decided to just go ahead and buy it all. They're pretty rad.

Received: Samus varia suit world of Nintendo figure, zero suit Samus fight pad, couple of Gravity Falls two-figure packs (just need Mabel and Waddles!), PSN gift card, couple of shirts. Prolly some gift cards from the family later today. I'm still a big fucking kid getting figures at Christmas. <3

Story behind this: My buddy's been working 70+ hour weeks for the last month to catch up and provide for Christmas. He's been sleeping in his car to get an extra hour of sleep. She hadn't seen him for three days, and asked if she'd have anything to open for Christmas. He said probably not. So, yeah, I did something silly for her.

Recieved: He might do something for me once his work dies down. We're both in the shipping industry, so we'll have less hours to work from here on out.

Recieved: Way too much for not being on speaking terms with my mother. We had a falling out a few months ago and I guess she's trying to make up for it; she nearly bought out my Amazon Wishlist.
