Vizio TV issue

I have 65" Vizio M series I got about 2 1/2 years ago. Thing has been plagued with issues since I got it but this last set is basically making me want to take a bat to it. It will only power on, that's it. It will not turn off(without unplugging) it will not respond to any commands via remote or apps. It will not do frigin ANYTHING at all. It will turn on with the remote and that's it. I've tried most/all the troubleshooting guides online but I'm at a loss. Anyone have any ideas of where to look to fix the issue?

Get model/serial numbers for it and search by those. You'll probably find others with this issue since older smart tvs aren't smart. If you're lucky there might be newer firmware for it on vizio's support site. If you have a phone with built-in IR (like an lg volt or galaxy s5) you could also try setting those up for the tv to make sure your remote isn't also a problem (or have a universal remote programmed for it if possible).

I have a S6 which has IR blaster, nothing works once it's turned on.

I have a Vizio about that age too, forget the model atm. I used to have a ton of trouble with it (garbage tv but can't afford a new one atm so....) have you tried restoring to factory settings? Used to work for me when the pos was acting up

I can't do anything at all after turning it on. So unless there's a factory reset physical button on the back there's not much I can do. I'm going to try and replace the IR board.
