Call me a retard, but I don't see how Alan can be classified as a supporting actor Isn't he the main char. too? or is it just because Charlie Sheen has so much more fame that they figure the show wouldn't succeed without him?

And BTW, I love when Sheldon was crying, then Penny brought up the Star Trek reference. Then Sheldon cried about missing the new star trek XD I think mainly because I thought there was gonna be a line about wtf penny watching star trek, and didn't see the other response coming.

well MOST eps that I have seen tend to be around 60/40 or 65/35 Charlie to Alan.
and to be fair Sheldon is as much a main character as Alan

Finally started watching this show and who would've thought a show about 4 geeks and a hot chick could be funny.

Watched every episode so far, and finding it really good, despite the odd joke that falls short of funny and heads more into "lets poke fun at the geeky guys" territory

Dunno but it's been a running gag that it's broken since the pilot.

It probably saves on production costs, they can use the same set and have them climb up seemingly, 3 (or 4?) different flights of stairs while talking.
