It sees these young adolescents are well aware of Walkers, they've just never interacted with one. That's because they've grown up within the safety of a closed environment. However, something occurs that results in the populace of this safe haven having to leave their sanctuary and venture out into the unknown.

Can they end the regular season before bringing out more shows please.
Isn't regular TWD gonna basically be set in 2020 next season too?

Who even knows? I'm not going to look up how many time jumps they've had and how long each one was supposed to take, but it's about 10 years since season 3. Close enough to being basically concurrent. I never watched FTWD, but wasn't that supposed to be set a couple years behind TWD as both series went on?

Originally yes but FTWD caught up with TWD timeline for a brief period when Morgan left Rick & co and ended up joining the FTWD cast.

Anyways it’s definitely been 9-10 years at least on TWD, long enough that all gasoline should have gone bad and 99% of any canned foods or pre outbreak medicines would have expired but whatever, zombies.

AMC has announced this will be a two season, closed story that will tell a specific story.

I'm sure they'll see those low premiere numbers and definitely won't renew for longer. The whole TWD franchise has overstayed its welcome.
