MLB Offseason Thread: Lockdown is over, now prepare for a lockout

Another season is done, and I'm pretty sure everyone's pre season predictions went completely down the shitter thanks to teams like the Yankee's, Dodgers, AL Central all underachieving, to the Giants playing out of their god damn minds, to the Braves winning the world series as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos. And that will make it a 4-0 ballgame.

Already this offseason is depressing as fuck for Giants fans with Buster Posey retiring. Castellanos has opted out of his contract to become a free agent. The White Sox picked up Kimbrel's option in hopes of trading him after a disastrous second half of the season.

Also, Arizona fall league has already given us one epic brawl, and it just started.

Now we just sit and watch, and hope that MLB doesn't fuck itself over after what has been a long steady stream of labor peace until the last couple of years.

Correa offered 5/160 by the astros seems laughable when he says he wants long term contract. I hope they offer a 7 or 8 year but it doesn't seem like it's gonna happen.

Both players you listed were signed for 10 years at age 32 (or possibly older in Pujols case). Comparing signing a 27 year old for 7-8 yrs is not the same as signing a 32 year old for 10 years.
