It's great that it's in person I feel. The previous 2 years kinda sucked depending on the quality of the runner's setup. Now everything will be a bit more unified and the claps/cheers can make for some good atmopshere!

I didn't find a lot of stuff that I even cared about in many of the recent GDQs, so that was another thing against them. Just personal taste, but feels like there's 2-3x as much stuff that I might take a look at if I'm around this week compared to some of the past live ones.

Looking forward to Kirby this evening. I played that right at launch and followed the speedruns early on, but other than seeing some of the new tech, I haven't seen what sort of routing there is right now.

This Kaizo Super Metroid run is crazy. So many paths are not obvious.

Haven't been able to catch as much live as I wanted this week, but I'll mention that Kaizo SMW race from last night. Most of those levels were pretty sweet, but for me the standout was the Mode 7 one. One of the easier levels of the batch, but super cool.

Can they just meet this SM64 incentive already so they can stop talking about it? They've got forever to get there too, not like they're running out of time.

Man that must suck for the people who withdrew their runs like 2 days ago because they were so far behind schedule. Only to get slapped in the face by a possible incentive run.

Oh damn, I didn't know people dropped, but I did notice that stuff was getting pretty backed up and then around last night seemed to be back where they were supposed to be. I figured maybe they were just making up time all along the way, but I wasn't paying a ton of attention.

Ok, didn't realize that the incentive for this game failed the other day. Still ew @ giving it another chance while games get pulled/voluntarily left. For all the claims "Pokemon brings money!!!" then where was that the other day? Everything brings money on the last day of a GDQ.
