Anyone else have horrible luck with this?
Just did it again for the 5th time now, and this time was the most unlucky. I Logged all of what Fantoccini got, and I almost fell over. A total of 10 bonus's, including 8 200%+ tp gains, 1 500 hp gain, and 1 200 mp gain. He also did Spirits Within 3 times, inlcuding 1 right off the bat (750 with SS on). Somehow I ended up winning with 30 seconds to go...but a few questions.

Is the goblins dice rolls completely random? All I ever get is defense and attack bonus, never anything else. He always gets tons of shit though, once he got 3 Chainspells =\.

Also, does Spirits Within go through Stoneskin? Each time he used it, it did what seemed like full damage, but SS was low each time.

I used to win him easy on BST, there was a bug where if you used Fight > Sic before he aggros you and summons a jugpet, he wouldnt summon one at all.

WHM is so simple too. He once used benediction 4 times and it was still nothing. His worst ws is brainshaker and the worst spell is Banish II.

Earth staff + vermillion cloak + meat mithkabob. Its gotta be the easiest thing ever. Don't even have to use drinks or Benediction and usually have around 200 mp left over (even when things go bad).

He only gets 2-3 rolls against my monk, unless he gets a big heal. Lost the first 2, won like 7 in a row now. Not so difficult if you have cross-counters.

i dont like going as a summoner, his avatar's hate is completely random, it ended up killing me toward the end with a double slap =(

The SMN one is freaking nuts but the BLM one was kinda easy. The worst thing the BLM did is roll to get TP filled to 300% and then Seraphed me for like 300ish.

ninja fight is probably the equivilant to Maat fight, except it took a little longer, i was about 4/5 before the goblin charged me 50k to get to the mine shaft so i told him to sit...on mine...shaft.

The rewards for that fight areso crappy that I never even bothered to try it. (Plus level 60 cap is bullshit.)

I did it recently and it cost me 42k just to get to BC< not counting 3 Yag drinks and 2 Hi-Potions I brought with me.

Well what do you know? The fucker rolls dice and gives puppet 300TP mid way thru the fight right after he gave puppet HP back and does Spirit Within... needless to say, end of that battle.

All that money could have bough me enough PLD food for at least 2 EXP sessions.

I think the solo ENM is great for the person who doesn't want to xp at lvl 75. I've been able to stay lvl 75 as a WHM purely on this fight. And all my xp parties have been for limits.

It's an interestng idea, but it costs so much money to fight Maat (at least if you are a RDM) that I probably wouldn't do that either.

If I want XP scrolls I'll go do the Chocobo Quest or solo the Crawler's Nest escort.

True, I have gear now that would make my level 70-self weep. Still not sure if it is worth the potential XP loss. (RDM Maat fight is very random.)

I always bring a lot of medicines to this thing and lose often, weather it be on my ninja or PLD. I'll always be close to winning on Ninja but it'll either mijin gakure for a ton of damage, or I simply got screwed over by dice rolls or ws when my shadows were down. Paralyze isn't cool. I have won once on NIN and PLD, and lose 2 other times. The PLD one can be difficult if dice rolls don't go your way...and I've had cases where the thing gets a full HP heal when I have it down to 10%.
