I hope the exansion fixes a lot of the problems I think FFXI has, too early to tell right now.
That jobs page is def. setup to allow more jobs to be listed, and from the way its formatted it looks like there really will be 2 more jobs announced. (the blue mage is aligned on the left, with room for another 2 pictures to be put on the same line with the same spacing, so just drawing a conclusion on that).
New monsters look cool I guess, but I mostly wanna hear about the content and not the areas.

I think Treasures of Aht Urhgan will fix most or hopefully more than you want Xavier. I hope they make a new storyline for the Expansion. new High Level "kings" or "wyrms" with pimp loot and good drop rate.
(Hopefully they increase the current drop rate on some stuff as well and make the Cop Wyrms drop loot better.) Enough Areas to EXP in, especially from 70~75 and in the lower Ranges. Many more quests, new summons, jobs, abilities, just a lot of more stuff. I think the areas and the Storyline will be great (well i hope it is). Endgame will get better as well i hope. Just imagine 3~4 more Kings. Then "everyone" will have a chance on Endgame gear. Cause I dont think FI,BG will camp 6~7 Kings/day.
Well... concerning new high level things, SE stated that they would not be putting a lot of end game content in with this expansion. They said that they were gearing it towards solo play. Of course, this all remains to be seen, considering we have seen two interviews saying conflicting things about "nerfing" black mage. I'm more excited to see what they do with the new jobs and what kind of roles they will play in the balance of the game. Also looking forward to exploring new zones... one of my favorite passtimes. Based on the aht urghan site, the new scenery looks pretty cool.
Just PLEASE no more beautifully designed, yet ANNOYINGLY level capped areas!

It would be cool if you entered a capped "dreamworld" where your armor is already supplied for you and looks cool and unique to the zone. It would be interesting because everyone would have the same stats based on their job etc.
I would love zones like that, what bothered me most about the Capped areas was the BC's as a thief I have gotten as far as I have solely because of my friends and linkshell. Ouryu I basically just watched the fight...

The new mobs look so cool, it's nice that SE isn't just resizing crabs or some shit.
I wonder how many will be charmable though :/ I want to use my bst for the new expansion shit... CoP was an utter disapointment for me because of it's lack of BST content :/
It's not like CoP was VOID of BST friendliness, only the endgame portions of it. I'd say BSTs are fairly grateful for even having Bibiki Bay, Attohwa Chasm, and maybe even Uleguerand Range (i dunno where BSTs EXP a lot) even though the zones aren't directly implimented for BST content.

In FFIV the Summoner character used whips. Then again, the WHM character could equip bows, too.
And here's hoping that whatever Blue Mages can equip, it's easily bought from an NPC, or cheaply synthed by low-level crafters. It would suck harder than anything to have to pay 300k to be one of the two thousand or so newly-minted Blue Mages looking for level 10 equip.

I'm really hoping the new expansion adds new places for bst to effectively solo from 66-72 though, these levels suck major ass.
