Outside of the CoP Ouryu mission, do they work in ks99 wyrm battle? We just gave it a try and wiped at about 62%, it was our first attempt and he pwned us when he started flying.. then someone said they heard mistmelts work. Can anyone confirm?

I really seriously doubt they work, seeing as KS99 wyrm was added before mistmelts by a good...oh...8 months.

didnt iron or something have a rdm with a billion of these in his inventory?

I think they work, but i've killed it without using one so it's possible to do it without it.

rework your strat and try again, getting it to to 60% ain't so bad, you gotta be doing something right : )

i never even knew he could fly in that BC lol

see, thats the problem with me, I automatically think people have the common sense to know whats possible and whats not, I read the thread title and said, Oh, must be someone who's interesed in ouryu, then i saw the word ouryu in it and just skimmed the whole thing really quick and replied.

nin edit, If i remember correctly, he's stunable. Grab a rdm/drk (or 2) and chainspell stun it in the air and have your blm nuke the shit out of it. After doing a certain % of dmg to it, it will land doing a touch down.

I did this Pre-rng nerf, We used to have 2 or 3 rng/sam Slug shot -> Barrage -> Slug shot -> Icarus wing -> Slug shot and EES.

Mistmelts only work on Ouryu, even though it says "Flying Wyrms" or something like that in the description. At least it used to, my ls tried it on Tiamat a while ago and unless they changed something, its Ouryu only

The Wyrm99 BC flies based on HP. He begins to fly at a certain HP% and to make him come down you need to deal damage. Otherwise he'll just stay up there forever.

Yes. You need around 20 to keep him grounded for the entire 60 minutes.

Well, we gave it another try and won. Mistmelts don't work though.
