So, a movie about a game where if you die in the game, you die in real life... Seems interesting considering what we play..

This movie reminds me of the movie "Hackers".
Just say the word Mainframe and Motherboard alot and add words like "fried" or "bugged" or "jammed", a hint of female nerdy yet kinda cute girl, and dorky glasses wearing saviour, and we have yet another movie made by hollywood people that havent touched a game in their lives or understand that real people play games too (and dont say "Let's boot it up!!!!" ).
Could have been interesting if it wasnt so Hackers-esque simply from the preview
I wonder if they lose EXP when they die?
the trailer sucks balls. The only thing keeping me from not closing it was the fact that I was already watching it for like 20sec and didn't wanna just put it off. I was hoping for it to get better but it never did...
shitty shitty trailer.
Other then the digital text, I see nothing in that movie that even comes close to being related to hackers.Originally Posted by Lordwafik
What reminded me of hackers is, in hackers, they got the most typical cliché computer geeks on computers, saying typical computer terms to make them sound all "oooh they know what they're doing!! They said Mainframe!!", of course they mixed in a bit of hollywood to it to make it viable (Angelina Jolie as the computer user with boobies! But god was she ugly in that movie).Originally Posted by kareface

hackers was a pretty good movie and yeah, she was kinda bad looking in that movie.

That movie looks so fucking horrible, I couldn't sit through the entire trailer. Some of the stuff they say in trailer was just embarrasing to hear ("Let's boot it up!" and stupid shit like that) and the typical hollywood clichè like computer geeks that get their hands on this super heavy underground game that "they're not supposed to have" thing is just lame.
I agree with this statement 100%.Originally Posted by Aerandir

They did that in the fairly odd parents....

lol, 1 in every 4 gamers is addicted. I hope they know 89% of all statistics are fake. 18% of all people know that.
It's just supposed to be a horror movie, not a movie about how high tech they are... Jesus.Originally Posted by Aerandir
It looks like an OK movie to go watch with your friends for a scare just like Wrong Turn or The Skeleton Key type of thing, but I've never heard people saying "OK let's boot it up!" XD. But that may just be me.
I'm aware that it's a horror movie, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. I just think it looks really crappy.Originally Posted by Okan

Wow, that trailer is ghey.
Stereotype about computer geeks... They should realize that the geeks have elvolved and influenced every aspects of the modern world..
I bet Ebert & Roger will give this movie 2 thumbs down and a big loud fart.
That was fucking terrible.
