Both many and none. You could say Lulu was a puppetmaster, or Cait Sith, or even Golbez (he summonded dolls in the dwarf crystal room). It was never specified as a specific job though.

On that note, it would be breaking FF tradition to have no new jobs in an FF game.

Consair looks like a hybird of several type of jobs.

Well originally they compared corsair to that of a gambler, but decided not to use the gambler name because of the negative connotations associated with.

Gamblers, however, appeared in several forms as well. Setzer in FFVI was probably the most famous, while Cait Sith in FFVII also had a gambler-esque limit break.

Basic idea is that you play your luck, and depending on the outcome you either get buffs or possibly a negative effect.

Cosair = Gambler, straight up. They just renamed it because as games get more mainstream, they have to be a little more PC, and cater to the needs of the general populous. More people buy a game, more chance of someone getting offended about Gamblers...so they renamed it. IMO Corsair sounds cooler anyway, so no biggy.

to have a tank that isn't an actual party member, yet you can control them would be amazing...

It's not really speculation, they were obviously vids of a Cerberus, and a knight that looked very similar to Odin....now to say that they are summons isn't 100% true, but most likely. They wouldn't pop up any random knight at the end of the vid, unless they knew people would recognize him, and get something out of it.
