WoW is like "Fisher prices "My first MMO"" Its a total joke as far as MMO's go. Its stupidly easy. I played WoW for awhile and it was something I had to force myself to play. It was very unenjoyable. Tho because I'm the person I am I, I tryed it. I have played a very very LARGE majority of MMORPGs, I found WoW the worst.

In all honosty my choice of thinking it sucks was totaly un-biast. I played it, if I liked it I woulda continued. I'm not one of those "LOLFFXI>EVERYTHING WWW" people. How ever, it is so stupidly mind nummingly easy it wasnt worth the effort[1 month max.]. I cant wait for the WoW fad to die, it already has started, people are quiting left and right.

Could you generalize even more? You don't cite one example in this post. I highly doubt you even played, but instead are just expressing the stereotypes WoW was given by FFXI people.

I played FFXI for 2 and a half years. I've played WoW for 3 months. WoW is already better all around, does that not seem odd to you?

But again this is just my opinion and I'm not going to generalize so take it as you will. But in FFXI I loved soloing, sometimes more than partying. I was always found soloing on my ninja whether it be exp or just NMs. But FFXI lacks soloable things and soloing gets nerfed one way or another all the time, for some reason they don't like it. WoW I can solo for fucking ever if I want to. But at the same time can join a group.

Instances are what sold me right away on WoW seeing how it's basically a smaller dynamis with a small group of people. I loved Dynamis but hated being in giant groups becauses there's more chances to fuck up. Then what made me really enjoy WoW is the pvp, battlegrounds is too much fucking fun it's ridiculous. And in FFXI, Ballista is so popular and so fun I couldn't control myself... not.

I really don't see what part of WoW is mind numbingly easy. An argument could be made that the leveling part of WoW is easy. But it really only gets easy after you get to 60 and level an alt. That first try to 60 isn't that easy unless you're gay and go on every site and find every best possible thing to do at every possible level... which in fact ruins the game imo. But at the same time, FFXI leveling is just as easy seeing how all you need is a bard, a rdm, 3 wars and a nin and you'll get 75 in 2 weeks. Maybe less/more.

I like how you actually don't need a ton of gold to play the game. How you get armor and weapons that you can USE from instances and mobs. Some may see this as easy but it's probably that you're so used to ffxi and having to kill 1 thing for an item to sell to buy another.

WoW endgame is better and is always being improved/added upon. FFXI endgame hasn't changed in 3 years.

I'd like to say these were all my opinions and mine alone so the first person that freaks out and tries to prove my opinions wrong should probably cut their throat with the FFXI CD.

Until you really play WoW you cant understand it. When I played FFXI for those years, whenever anyone mentioned WoW I was always "gaylol", But When i eventually tried it I loved it. It really is a great game and FFXI does not compare. That being said, Im not a WoW>FFXI or FFXI hater, I still love FFXI, it has some experiences that WoW can never recreate and I am well aware of its flaws but It still has a place in my heart even now.
