    Controller question

I know that many of you either play PSU or FFXI, and use a controller to go along with it for more natural gameplay, but which do you use? I use a Saitek P2500, but it keeps malfunctioning, as per the tooltip, and I have to restart and reinstall the drivers every time. It happens when I move the controller in some awkward manner, like if I decide to stand up or something with the controller in my hand.

My question is, do any of you guys have a controller you've been using since day 1 that has given no problems at all? I was looking into getting one of the PS2 USB adapters so I can just use my PS2 controller, but I dunno how reliable that device is as a bridge. Anything good with the XBox 360 controller?

I have a Logitech Wireless rumble pad and a 360 Controller, they both rock... I prefer the 360 controller though.

I, personally, find the keyboard 10x better than a controller for FFXI. I'm just alot faster with it. I play on PC mind you.

Only time I would ever use a controller is in a repedative party I don't have to be quick on the draw with things, like early level parties.

The best controller i've found though, is the plain old PS2 controller straight from Sony.

Just grab yourself one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/PS-PS2-USB-Dual-Pla ... otohosting .

Works great for emulators. I can't tell you how many "PC Controllers" I have gone through, they're always just made poorly.

    Hope that helps,
    -Eddie

I was thinking about the PS2 adapter, but is that prone to the same failure as a normal PC controller? Will the adapter ever just crap out in the middle of something?

Never once had a problem with my PS2 adapter.

I use it for emulators all the time. Just plug and play via usb. Runs great. And they're cheap.

360 controller works best, but I like the keyboard better for both games.

Well, there's the XBox 360 controller (wired), and the XBox 360 controller "For Windows" for $10 more. Don't they both work with windows, or only the second one?

Any 360 controller, well, not the wireless one.
