That's like saying you couldn't beat up 48 5 year olds.

first of all, you wouldn't get 48 on the lion at once, maybe 15-20 at a given time could actually be within a midgets 1 foot arm length, and midgets don't exactly have a ton of muscle mass. A lion could destroy them without breaking a sweat if they were unarmed.
