External Laptop Cooling Options

[Suiram]

So, I've been playing FFXI on my Laptop since shortly after I got it this past spring. I know it's supposed to be pretty bad for the lifespan of my computer, but I don't have a very good desktop computer, and the other option is my PS2 (what I started FFXI on), but I'm hooked on the superior resolution I get with my PC.

Anyhow, it was recommended to me recently that I buy an external cooling pad for my laptop, but I'm having a hard time finding decent information to use to compare the various products I've found online. For one thing, I was told to find one that cools by pulling air from the bottom of my comp and out the rear, and most product descriptions/reviews don't even reveal if that's the way they work. Also, my computer is fairly large (15.5in wide, and 11.3in deep according to the specs, I didn't measure it myself), and there are mixed testimonies as to whether or not some of these smaller fan boards will do the job or not.

Does anyone here use one for their laptop that they can recommend for or against?
