Did anyone else watch the finale last night?
Did anyone else watch the finale last night?
i did.. thankfully marselle didnt win.. hated him![]()
I believe Sam should have went to the finals
I completely agree. It was almost hard for me to watch the finale since i didn't really want either of them to win. Although i was happy with the choice of the two. Marcelle was way to full of himself
I was pulling for Sam the whole time. Marcelle was a douche, so at least he didn't win, fucker with his shitty hair and obsession with food foam
I was pulling for Elia and Sam for the finals and ended up with my two least favorite knuckleheads going head to head...honestly I never liked Marcel but I thought his food looked more interesting than Ilan's same old - same old (except the salad.....seriously.....salad?). In terms of personality - Ilan was just slightly better than Marcel after awhile, though it was all a result of Marcel XD
I was pulling for Marcel but I'm not much of a fan of his personality. I'm just a fan of seeing molecular gastronomy. I hated Betty, I read a few funny comments here and there where people called her the Wicked Witch and made fun of her plastic smile.
I loved Elia til the Hawaii episode where she turned on Marcel. I do think they kidnapped Michael and put him on that show.
Cliff got what he deserved, Sam was probably the best Chef there, and I thought it quite comical how Ilan trashed former Top Chef Harold Dieterle after he won Top Chef. He said something to the account of "He looked so uninterested in his victory, he just stared down and said, Time for a cocktail!"
So a few hours ago I went to bravotv.com and posted on Harold Dieterle's blog, my first entry was just "Time for a cocktail" spammed 50 or 60 times, I didn't think the admin of his blog was going to enter the response so I entered a 2nd one that was a little more refined. I can't explain why that line gets me so worked up but seeing Ilan trash him drives me to repeat it over and over, laughing the whole way.
Time for a cocktail~
I looooove Top Chef (and every single other Bravo reality show...), and was rooting for Marcel since the first episode. It's obvious that he was trying to make himself look cool because he was on TV, and that he was trying to win. When you saw him back in his own kitchen, with his friends, and when Elia talked about their past experiences, it's plain to see he isn't that much of a douche.
I fail to see why so many people think of him as a douche in the first place. People hated him for no reason from beginning to end, and if that ever happened to me I'd be rude to them back. They don't know him and probably never gave him much of a chance before they all (i.e. Frank, Cliff, Sam) when apeshit on him.
I wanted Sam cause well, he's gorgeous. I mean, he can cook well too but, he's really hot.
I HATED Marisa and um..the blonde girl with the huge forehead. I don't even remember her name because I just hated her that much. Emily??? She got voted off in the Friday's episode.
Personally I think Ilan's stupid. I really loved Elia, and wish she would have made it. I read Chef Tom's blog and she didn't mean to say Marcel cheated, she just didn't know another word for what she meant b/c English isn't her first language. Plus, she and Marcel are/were friends so it was kinda bitchy, but I've liked her throughout and was disappointed she wasnt going for the money.
Marcel picked the wrong sous chef, and I think that really fucked up his chance of winning last night. Oh well~
Time for Top Design, THEN PROJECT RUNWAY IN MARCH OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG SO EXCITEDDDDD PR <333333333333333333333333333333333
Lbelle, you're either in, or you're out.
i wanted Sam in the finals...i think he's a much better cook than Ilan and Marcel put together, however, i'm a much bigger fan of solid, good tasting dishes rather than "hay lets try something new and hope it tastes good."
really glad Ilan won
I also read how Elia didn't mean to accuse Marcel of multiple accounts of cheating. I did like Marcel but there are some times where I didn't like him, for example
"Try my poached eggs brah."
"Surfs up brah."
"I can't even begin to tell you like, how dope my food will be in Hawaii."
"Sorry I didn't take your discount, like when you offered it."
As well the way he acted when he was on the Bravo after show. He was attempting to talk street but was missing the mark again and again. I really did like him on the show, I think they picked on him for like no reason other than he was different from them, and acted like he didn't need their friendship. It's kind of one of those you can't fire me I quit things.
Marcel doesn't show any interest in being friends with anyone leads to them saying, oh good we didn't want you to be friends with us anyways. And they kind of outcast him. Most of those people were douchebags, even if Marcel is a little off the mark, I'll give him props for not losing his cool.
"Griddle isn't as hot as you would've liked it to have been?" That says it all right there, that kid is on another level imo, and I like it, and I do love his hair.
Marcel was actually attacked recently by a crazed fan, which you can read about here
