Most of the games run normally... FF8 freezes from time to time, and FF9 lags a tiny bit where there are a lot of NPCs cramped together... all the other games I put on my 2 4gigs (mainly FFs, tactics, and some crash bandicoots ) have been running flawlessly.

I've used my PSP a looooot since I started installing DAX's firmwares on it.

Whoa is the PS1 emulator hard to use? Im a huge huge FFTactics fan and if theres anyway to get it onto my brother's psp i'd be all over it. How do you get the game from a disc to your PSP memory? Do you NEED a ps3?

Im a nub so if you care to explain please go slow.

Those are the ones i use. Just an advise, DO NOT upgrade your PSP to the lastest official ver update lol. A friend of mine did this thinking it was ok and he got stuck with ver3.10 which has no downgrader atm.

The latest N64 Emulator... is actually looking very promising, and hopefully it will release this month.

As it is though... i need a 4GB stick... filled the 2GB stick up in a matter of minutes and i STILL have to swap things out depending on what i am looking to play at any given time.

The only "extra" shyte i would say you need:

1) USB Cable for PSP -> PC
2) Decent sized Memory Stick (or 2)
3) Power Adaptor/Cord

Now that isn't really extra... but you get the picture.

And no Aladwar, not to my knowledge there isn't... to be honest, i don't know if there will be. They have discovered an exploit in the unpatched GTA, and i can't honestly say if there are DEVs out there looking for further ways to downgrade without it. Probably, but who knows right now.

While we're on the subject of the downgrader, and HEN - we are not currently working on a version that does not require GTA. It's not currently possible. If you are having trouble finding a copy of GTA, then refer to this forum thread for a solution.

If your 1.5 your set! No GTA! Just upgrade to custom firmware from there!

GTA is required for those who have above 2.7 firmware.

Ok I'm a total noob at this PSP stuff and plan on getting it soon, but how would I go about buying a PSP that still has 1.5 firmware? Are the PSPs that are sold in stores all updated?
