I dunno, I was told growing up that I'd ruin my eyes playing video games for hours at a time. Probably the danger in that was more along the lines of sitting in a poorly lit room or sitting too close to the tv.

i remember a LONG time ago my optometrist said to let me play video games cause it'd help my eye coordination or focus or some such (i have a lazy eye...)

Same, games (and FFXI in particular) made my hand-eye coordination so much better... it also helped me type extremely fast without looking at the damn keyboard every two seconds like I used to.

That would actually be written as 20/5, which is kickass sight. means you see 20 feet away what people see 5 feet away. Bad eyesight would be more of 20/100

I'm going to the optometrist next month for glasses.

Which isn't so bad, I think a good pair of glasses is sexy on guys or girls. =)

You can get glasses that don't have a perscription in them silly.

I have good eyesight, but after sitting on the computer for a really really long time, my sight would get a little blurry while playing WoW and I'd end up squinting, so I got a simple pair of reading glasses that work great.
