    Ode to the Serpents

So the continuation of the "Saga of the Skyserpent" quest came out. Anyone else do it? I got to say, it was awesome and didn't disappoint. In the quest, we get to see the pasts of Zazarg and Najelith(and some of Galadar being batshit crazy again). I'd say the Zazarg cutscenes are a must for any Zazarg fan.

God, I hope SE delivers more goodness next update. I really hope we aren't forced to wait again.

Btw, the rewards for completing the whole quest is 1 Imperial Gold Coin and 1000 IS, not bad.

The bitchslap was awesome, but was nothing special compared to Zazarg's punch. The dude flew 10 feet into a wall. Oh, so glorious.

I soloed ~7,500 limit points without using one of the EXP rings on Wajaom Tigers and Aht Urhgan Attercops before I finally got both items.

    Re: Ode to the Serpents

I got the arrow not knowing what it was while farming some spiders, and did the two quests once I found out what it was for. I got the drop from the tigers in under an hour. So, I guess I was lucky.

Really good stories; I actually like Zazarg now (even though he's a Galka). Galadar's probably my favorite though they haven't told us much about him yet. <3 BLM-ish things. :D

    Re: Ode to the Serpents

Spent four hours on tigers, no drop, so I just got pissed off and bought it. Frayed arrow I also bought on a mule for 3k after being morally deflated by the tigers.

Regardless, I didn't skip one CS section at all in all the quests! Of the three generals shown, Najelith had to have been my favorite, but Zazarg's was pretty entertaining too. Can't wait to see how the other generals came about (even though we kind of know how Galadar did). Very very good idea to throw a quest line like this in... lots of fun.

Notice the subtle hints that the Far East, should it be released, will have Yagudos and what not... =P

I just now got around to doing Saga of the Skyserpent, and my PS2 keeps crashing during the CS that happens after turning in the Lilac Ribbon. Unfortunately it's not really feasible for me to use the PC version, and nobody I know both plays FFXI and lives nearby. I could get someone to log in as me and clear the CS, but then what's the point?

Bug report and wait, I guess.

I had the exact same problem and also submitted a bug report. I got a PC friend to log in as me and to tell me what happened in the scene, so I'll watch it myself once it's fixed. Nothing after that had an issue... I was just too eager to see all the rest to wait for a bug fix on this.

And zomg Najelith has a Kyudogi! Now I have to have one too.

Ah, I only got the IS, didn't get a coin. Probably have to go back to talk to that taru in the teahouse again.

Fari-Wari is the starter. However, for all of these quests, if the relevant Serpent General is kidnapped then their attendant is too busy/distraught to come hang out with you. I found this out when I asked someone to log in as me, and they asked me to wait for Besieged to end. We lost Rughadjeen, so yeah.

I haven't done Zazarg yet, but Najelith was pretty cool. I just have one question, who is Ryaaf (Her brother)? It's been a long while since I've done anything in Aht Urghan, but that name sounds familiar.

It's an assault, "Saving Private Ryaaf" hahaha

Yeah I farmed tigers for like 4 hours, gave up and bought it
Got the arrow after 3-4 kills, and was almost mpk'd by a JP PUP >_>

The best part was when Zazarg punched the shit out of the guy and his armour flew off, I mean come on, impressive enough he threw him back, but so hard his shoulder plate flew off? rofl

"Saving Private Ryaaf" is one of the low-mid level assault missions in Periqia.

Arrow took me about 2 hours, medal I got in about 5 tigers. If I knew you could buy them I would have.
