    Trial weapons

ive had Staff of trials since mid 05 and never broke latent. Before I start a new one do I have to finish it or can I just toss it? Nothing regarding this came up during a search.

You can return it to end the quest (and start another)

Yes, even if the latent isn't broken. You will have to start all over next time tho (assuming you had any point for it)
