Not any slower than being weakened once. It was added because every other DD in the game had a penalty for dying and rangers and BLMs could just take it as a free hate reset and go balls out.
Do BST suffer any charm success rate penalties or anything during weakness? As far as I know, SMN is now the only job completely unaffected in its role by weakness, with BST and PUP being partially affected (melee ability) but they still have their pets at full force.

Dynamis reentry is 10 minutes (unique) and considered double weakness. Dying while weakened is same timer as single weakness but it's "double weakness" as far as dealing 0 dmg goes. You can kill yourself after reentering dynamis to reset your wait timer to 5 minutes.Originally Posted by Ashira

This might be OFN, but thought it might be relevant to the thread. I played a friend's MNK for Proto-Ultima once and observed Chi Blast sucking while in double weakness. After that I always waited a little over 2 minutes after reviving before starting Boosts.

The chi blast thing makes sense, because it's the same thing as the "BLM nerf" people tend to call this the "BLM and RNG double-weakness nerf" because it affects those two jobs significantly more than the others, but it is actually just "magic and ranged attacks double-weakness nerf". As a BLM your stuns or sleeps don't get resisted any more or less when you're double-weakened, it's just if you choose to cast a nuke it's going to do 0 until you're unweakened.
I can confirm that Dynamis re-entry weakness has the same effect, as the person in our dynamis LS who usually sets their HP in Tavnazia and warps after getting the two 30-min extensions twice a run.
Double-weakness on RNG means that your attacks hardly ever hit, and if they do you'll be lucky if they do any more than 0 damage. I have witnessed double-weak RNGs use EES for 0 or miss it altogether. Might as well drop PT and rest if you're double-weakened... best solution is to avoid double-weakness altogether.
I was under the impression that chi blast isn't affected by weakness (it's not affected by magic accuracy nor magic attack)
Then again the only thing I chi-blast is kirin, no real reason to fight while weakened.

No one's mentioned it yet, but spell recasts get nerfed under single weakness at the same rate as double.
In my experience, avatars are unaffected when summoned by a single or double+ weakened summoner.
Man, double weakness...I still remember way back when my CoP static was doing O/U, and we had Ultima down to about 4% or something. I died while weak, raised up, 2hrd, and used Burst, which ended up doing 0 damage, and we wiped to a 2% HP Ultima. It took me a good 3 months to finally realize what had actually happened, we were trying to solve the mystery of "Ultima's super magic shield" >.>
