I was pretty sure this axe was pretty gay, but this person in my LS keeps boasting about his. So I want to prove him wrong.

He says the poison is a slick 10 HP/tick, but I was under the impression it was 3 HP/tick. He said they fixed it in a version update sometime ago, but I don't recall ever reading it nor can I find it.

Is he bullshitting me? I just want to know because he's being pretty stupid about it.

Poison is 3 HP a tick. It proc's fairly often.

It is EXACTLY countered by a herc ring on a PLD. (when the herc ring's latent is active)

Yeah this axe is pretty worthless, I always lol when I see someone buy it for 10m+ on AH.

When it was introduced maneater didn't exist and the other endgame axe choices were woody & juggy.

It's really intended as an alternative to woody and/or something else that you can equip to have +str from your weapon slot (that and mobs didn't die in 30 seconds in meritpo so the poison did something).

E.g. it's something that was originally good, but has since been outdated by other axe choices.

You'll see the same thing happen to Unsho if they ever add a maneater-type katana.

Not like the poison matters anyway when a RDM can just cast Poison II for more damage, if you're really interested in poisoning a mob. When was the last time you did something without a RDM?

Its not a horrible axe, but like someone said, horribly outdated. The problem with the price is its pretty damn rare so it often fetches prices way above maneater or woodsville.

Our woods/manny are like 350k(woods)-500k(man)... and there are 2-4 of the leopards on ah around 1m... i'm trying to get one for 500-600 to play with and prolly will once people realize they dont sell on the AH and they are wasting gil listing oer and over.
