What is the secret to Silversea 35s

Cmon please someone please tell me the secret? We are like 0/25+ runs on Hammerblow/Powderkeg/Gyro combo.

You need to enter SSR when the glowy thing on the door is green, and have at least one taru dancing. Also try and hit nms that you dont really need drops from and you will get 35s (i'm looking at you gg1)

This. Our group had a curse of 0/whatever Morrigan Slops. Took us 9 months of Salvage nearly every day to get those to drop. But they did. Was long enough to make 2 Usu Head, 2 Usu Masks and 2 Ares Legs drop BEFORE finally seeing them.

About 200ish SSRs:

2 Machas's slops
4 Usu heads

Nothing else.

0/150 on turtle, 0/~90ish on gyro3, 2/130ish on Powderkeg, 4/52 on Hammerblow, 0/20 or so on Dekka, 0/20ish on Gyro1.

These NMs seem to follow the 2.5% drop rate on 35s that the QQTHs in arrapoga follow, and not the standard 5% from most things. (And I use 5% liberally, as I think it is slightly higher on some things). Madames have about a 10% it seems. Bhoot/flayer seem to have higher drop rate from groups ive seen.

Actually, ive found the trick to getting Usu body to drop to be a group that usually is incapable of killing the turtle, and can barely beat bosses. Those people on my server usually go 1/1

Yeah, or if someone just hits 75 on said job, their 35 will probably drop too. Only if you can't make the run though.

Somehow SS is generous with us, except dekka, and usu feet. Now the secret of course is to systematically do all Nms on the route as a minimum, boss as extra, or else it will suck. Runs with just a few NMs+ boss sometimes like my other Ls did, due to suckage, cant bring anything good.

not true! trade an HQ shield for the tatami shield spawn and you'll make it drop! same for the ugly pendant NM and his knife! seriously though, outside of "bring TH" and "pray for good luck" there's no secret to getting drops from mobs. frogs may also have a higher chance to drop purely b/c it's a trivial matter to try for all 6 drops in a single run, while that's impossible in AR,BR, and SSR. that, coupled with the higher drop rate makes ZR35 much more common to the point where i have 5/6 35's (no usu hands) and the highest job i have that can wear ares is pld 41.

i'd still like to know why ramparts either spawn like mad or don't spawn at all though, as that does seem to have some sort of control mechanism to turn it on. my spreadsheet of pop data continues to grow and unsurprisingly, no correlation whatsoever. maybe a fanfest question if there's a way to encourage ramparts to spawn mobs?

We've had good luck with the "Don't bring the guy who actually wants the drop" strategy. We seem to get a lot of free lot marduk, skadi, and ares that way.

Of course, we very rarely get morrigan or usukane...

Not even this. Just bring someone who has never done Salvage before and you'll get a 35. THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS.
