Are there any other Shins fan who have the new album "Wincing the Night Away"?

I need to know what other people think of it. I just got it and I think it sounds A LOT like The Smiths or early Morrissey for some reason I cant quite put my finger on. Im probably crazy though.

Opinions please!! Also if you dont like the band then dont bother saying it, keep your haterade at home. :D

I've been meaning to listen to more of their songs. I've had New Slang stuck in my head since I first heard when I watched Garden State a few months ago.

The first single off the new album is called "Phantom Limb," thats a good start I think.

Phantom Limb, Sleeping Lessons, and Australia are all great songs from that album. I like their new sound but too many of the songs from Wincing the Night Away were sub par to give the album "listen specifically to this album on iTunes" status. Most of the time I just listen to all 3 Shins albums at once on random and I find myself skipping most of the new songs

I posted something about the album the day it released, figured there weren't much Shins fans. Definately, imo, better than their second album, which only had one good song (Saint Simon). Best two songs from them still, are Caring is Creeping and New Slang.

I think the beginning of Australia is funny with that weird german talking haha.

My favorites so far are: Sea Legs, Phantom Limb, Australia, and Sleeping Lessons.

My opinions about Chutes Too Narrow: I loved the 4-5 tracks of the CD, then for me it dragged until it ended off with a strong one.
