The black costume again? Is it purely aesthetic or a symbiote?
The black costume again? Is it purely aesthetic or a symbiote?
the latter, he knows that it makes him stronger and he gets addicted to it
at least that's what i think is correct![]()
Yea, your pretty much right. He gets addicted to the power, and since he's able to release all his bottled up frustrations finally, it begins to take him over.
He is grieving. Aunt May in the hospital and Captain America is dead.
That's freaking awesome, I'm glad they brought it back, would anyone know where I could pick up the series starting from that point?

So i guess the short answer is The Amazing Spider Man starting at issue 252.
Also he's not wearing the symbiote. It's just a black costume.
I meant the most recent stint, I know all about the symbiote up to and including mac Gargan but.Originally Posted by Vertabreaker
I guess it is just aesthetic, sounds like the associated attitude issues are back though.Originally Posted by Demosthenes
Sorry I thought you were asking about the original series. There's a series starting at Amazing Spider-Man 539 that started in May called the "Back in black" series. Not sure if that's what you're referring to.Originally Posted by Ryko
**Edit. Not sure if this site is any good but it looks like it has a lot of the comics from back in black here. I can't check cause I'm at work unfortunatly

How did Rhino survive when The Punisher blew him up with a bomb? It was in Punisher War Journal #4 or something, bunch of B-list super villains were at a bar for the wake of Stilt Man, and Punisher set off a bomb in the bar with all of them inside. Shocker and Rhino were there, but for some reason they're still alive.Originally Posted by Demosthenes

Yeah reading up on it this is absolutely awesome.
Spidey seems to keep his anger and depression to himself, at least that's the vibe I get in each issue of New Avengers. In that series he still kicks a lot of ass, but he's back to the old "mid-fight banter with the enemy" kinda guy.
Peter keeps a lot of things to himself. He was surprised when Tony discovered his Spider-Sense, commenting that he's never told him about it before.
Awesome
No, the real reason is option three: "movie tie-in".Originally Posted by Ryko
