I have seen a JP player with a Sanguine Sword. But I have no idea where it drops from, just heard the rumors it dropped from Almighty Apkallu.

So the mob exists. Getting it to spawn is another matter entirely, and doesn't confirm if it drops the sword.

Tried camping this with a friend while camping Proteus a while ago and the several days and hours upon hours of boat rides we took it never spawned. Was fun riding the boat back and forth for half the day xD

It doesn't drop from that NM. Drops from Blitzkrieg only.

Perhaps the reason no ones seen the 'Almighty Apkallu' is because no ones dared to mess with the Apkallu Hate system?

For the love of god, it does NOT drop from Almighty Apkallu. It has been confirmed to drop from Blitzkrieg assault. Now stop spreading gay ass rumors please.

I have max hate from apkallus. Exped off them in a JP party, perma invincible is not cool.

Most of those have "Assault:"-tagged stats and weren't added months before the Assault that dropped them was available.



Sanguine might drop (or have dropped) from Almighty Apkallu, but been moved to Blitzkrieg when SE noticed that no one knew how the fuck to pop it.

I've personally seen Almighty Apkallu. I was camping it one day when the Astral Candescence was down and it popped on the way to Al Zhabi from Nashmau. I tried to kill it solo and of course didn't have time before the boat landed (I was on PLD). I've heard that it drops Skanda Boots as well but I've never seen any confirmation of this.

Also, Starlink on Fairy has a sword and said that he got it from the NM. I thought he posted a screenshot of it once on KI but I can't remember if it was of the loot pool or simply the sword in his inventory. I'll check though and post it here once I find it.

This screenshot was posted on KI in November of 2006. Blitzkrieg was added the month before, so I suppose he could have gotten it from the assault instead and lied about it when I asked him, but I dunno.
