Reinstalling an Upgrade of Win XP "Loop"

Long story short, I tried to do an upgrade reinstall of Win XP Home instead of a fresh reinstallation and I keep getting a BAD_POOL_CALLER blue screen of death when it hits roughly 34 minutes remaining.

Whenever I restart the computer it automatically goes back into the upgrade reinstallation instead of letting me boot from the CD or try to do a fresh reinstallation. Is there any way I can get out of this loop? It seems like I've tried almost everything.

in your BIOS there should be an option to select the boot source. just use that to start from CD

Problem solved as far as getting out of the reinstall loop. Thank you.

I booted off the CD, interrupted the failed upgrade reinstall and just went with a fresh install of XP after a format, which worked fine. Unfortunately, now all of my drivers are gone and my devices aren't recognized, i.e. sound card, video card, etc.

Worse, I can't connect to the internet, when I go into Control Panel > Network Connections, usually where there is LAN recognized (like on my laptop right now) and telling you if it's enabled or disabled, nothing is there. I have the option to create a new connection but it seems oriented to dial up and not LAN. Is it just not recognizing the LAN card?

At least I got Office reinstalled I guess...

Get a thumb drive to transfer your drivers from wherever you're typing this to your computer. They're pretty damn cheap these days.
