    Bahamut Stunning

Just a pretty basic question, how many stunners do you use for a Bahamut run when you melee burn it? Just did a run using two, and somehow it managed to get two flares off. We had one RDM use chainspell dispell at the start, then join in on stunning. Is there a better method to use for this?

Probably resisted stuns I would guess.
With all mobs that have chance to resist stun you can get unlucky. Just make sure your RDM are wearing proper gear to stun. Jupiter's staff/dark skill/magic accuracy gear. It was more than likely unlucky resists that caused the 2 flares to get off.

By 2 chain-stunners do you mean in tandem?

Is 2 stunner really better here? It will just make him build resist faster

If it doesnt die before the chainstuns end you need help When we use to chainstuns it dies before the stuns end and I dont think our rdms get many resists before the fights over.

    Re: Bahamut Stunning

I've solo chain-stunned it before and i think i only had to stun about 7 or so times before it died.
The key is to not just spam, but to watch carefully for when stun wears and then re-cast, that way you won't ever get "no effect" but it will still be stunned the entire time.

I don't think you need much dark gear if any at all for him. Resists would only happen if you over-use stun.

    That's how I feel.

It's like going RDM/DRK to Dyna-Lord, imo, I try to watch, with a Menu-Stun, for when it's over, not to stun randomly and asap. (Granted there's usually another RDM overlapping somehow, but I still think it's the best chances when I'm relying on only my stun really.) CS stun is best used without a trigger finger imo.

    Re: Bahamut Stunning

use 1 stuner, have them watch the log for "no longer stunned" and recast
you shouldn't have to stun it more then 5-10 times depending on damage output

other tip I can give is don't start stuning until it starts using flares, I don't think stuning his early TP moves are all that helpful

Until your 2 houred Melees get petrified and lose 20+ seconds of their 2 hour (still won somehow after that ^^).

exactly. the only time i've ever seen a loss was that the drks got roared right off the bat and lost all their buffs. chainspelling should be the first thing that hits bahamut after the initial flash/voke/whatever of the tank.

We usually let the tank do his thing.... and have a thief use Feint (spelling?) then start the chainspell.

    Re: Bahamut Stunning

Last night it was AoE petrify that ruined one of our fights <_>

I agree with chainspell stunning from the start.
