Chocobo Digging/I Suck at Search

I was griping about how constantly Altepa seems to be dug up, and a friend of mine said that he saw something about it on these forums: specifically, that RMT had found a way around the restrictions imposed in a recent patch (a daily limit on the number of items that had been dug up.) He couldn't remember any details, though, and searches on "digging", "digging rmt", "digging gilsellers", "rmt chocobo", etc. came up with nothing. Does this sound familiar to anyone, or did he misremember?

Hm. While I've heard nothing about this, if it were true it would explain a change at the AH.

Both plat ores and coral frags were very very rare for a few weeks, then last week suddenly the AH was flooded with them. (There were never more than 4-5 plat ores up for weeks, then I went to list a couple and there were 59 up. Same thing with coral.) If the gilsellers were somehow getting around the 100 item limit, that would explain it.

However, new gilsellers arriving on the scene (or crafters getting passed the need for plat) would also explain the changes.

Anyone that intends to dig seriously should track diggers before they start. Some people don't think there's alot of diggers out there, but my list has ~130 high level diggers and there's still more people I know I don't know of. Gilsellers have not found a hack to dig beyond cap, if this was true I'd be seeing them beyond the time duration it takes them to reach their daily digcap. The diggers in those zones are rotating out, some nub diggers take longer to leave than others as it takes longer for them to dig and they often dig beyond their digcap expecting something magical to happen. The rumor that gilsellers found a hack for digcap was based on some RMT continuing to marathon dig like they did previous to digging changes.

Ah, okay. I would not be surprised at having more diggers - I imagine a lot of them are like me, people who played Chocobo H&C a lot, and then one day tried it out and found surprise, they were rank 2 or 3 already. >.>;; But I'm glad to know it's not some type of shady hack, since that means I have a fighting chance. That (and the professor who said it) was the best thing I took from college. He taught a class on critical thinking, and I enjoyed it so much I took every other class he offered and eventually changed my minor to his field.

I do nothing with my degree now (go go go psych degree in the computer industry!) but I still use lots of the things he taught.

I graduated college more than ten years ago. Long before Scrubs was on TV.

Though I suppose if it's shown up on a TV show, it likely wasn't made up by my professor... unless one of the writers of Scrubs was a student of his!
