remote PC question

ok so i open windows NetMeeting (run >> 'conf' ) and my uncle wanted to connect to my PC.. IF i am connected directly to my modem (DSL) it goes through fine. i just give him my IP. which would be something like 66.126.72.33 . and then it says i get a call from him and we're fine from there. BUT i can not connect to him. his IP add. is like 192.168.1.101 . which if i remember is something like his router gives to him . if i connect through my router my IP changed to 192.168.2.10.. he can not connect to my PC because that is not my correct IP address. its something with my router.

does anyone know how to connect remotely through the router ?

You need to take that IP your router is giving you, and set up Port Fowarding in your router's config for that IP. I can't tell you specifically how because it's different for every router, look up in the manual for specific instructions. Then after you do that you can go to any random google site, I use http://www.ventrilo.com/myip.php to get your specific IP address to use.

More specifically, 192.168.x.xxx is the address your router gives you to identify your specific computer on your home network, if you have multiple computers the xxx in that IP will change per computer, when you set up port fowarding you need to put in the specific IP of the computer you want. (I can tell on my router because there is a table, with the name of the computer, and the IP that it assigns to it. You can also go to run > "command" and type "ipconfig" in the window that comes up. That IP address it gives you is the one you are looking for.
