MOB> <NIN <SAM <THF
If the THF does a TA+WS, who will get the hate? I've never paid attention the few times I've actually done this. It'd be nice the NIN still does since it'd make it easier competiting for space against SAMs with Overwhelm.

NIN.
Always gets person closer to the mob.
Nice! Thanks for the quick reply! :D
Given the amount of +enmity on the AF2 set, has anyone tested (is it even possible to test?) how +enmity on TA compares to hate transfer via damage?
You always want to trick more damage regardless of which results in more hate.Originally Posted by Banzai_Kitty

The DD is part of hate management. +3 Enmity on the action isn't going to give as much hate as +50 damage on a WS.
Impossible to parse/test I think, but I would like to see some numbers.Originally Posted by Tonko

Well, the more important factor is that killing the mob faster is going to do more than any small increase in hate for the tank from wearing the +enmity.
I was just joking with my earlier comment. People say that shit all the time and it pisses me off. THF's only form of hate management is on a 1min timer and the hate generated is completely dependent on damage. So someone saying THF "isn't a DD, but hate management" is stupid. If you want to say THF isn't a DD say it because 99% of THF's suck ass and the damage curve is crazy for THF.
I can't think of any equip slots that offer a conspicuous amount of +Enmity compared to the AGI alternative. Maaaaaybe that Harmonia necklace or whatever, but we're dealing with extremely small numbers at that point. If you're looking at full AGI vs. full Enmity, there's no way I'd advise 70 AGI + 20whatever Enmity versus the 120 AGI most THFs can achieve since you're throwing away up to 150 dmg in that comparison.
