Your LS Application Forms, and names

First off, I'd like to apologize if I'm breaking any rules by making a post like this. I don't believe I am, but if that is the case, I feel free to move this thread.

I browse these forums out of boredom due to the great drama and the chance I'll see someone leave or enter midgard. A big bad trend I'm noticing popping up a whole lot is that people are not posting the old names of their server-switching applicants. Sonomaa did mention that it's very important to have their old name:

Basically post your applicants that you wish reviewed, make sure you list which server they were on and their name on that server in this forum.

Now this isn't exactly the fault of the people posting, but I get this gut feeling it might have something to do with how a LS may handle applications/their application form or whatever.

I'd like to stress the idea that every LS has some requirement/question like the following:

"If you have switched servers previously, what was your name on your previous server?"

I mean it seems only logical that if you are cautious enough to want to request background information, you would at least like them to confirm their name to you. I see the dozens of "who?", "never seen that guy", and "probably change his name" posts fill up threads, and I think this can be avoided entirely with some effort.

Sounds like a no-brainer to me. Whenever I hear about a cross-server applicant and can't positively guarantee the character's name on his previous server, it's like an instant denial.
