    A forum related suggestion.

I know that starting this thread is probably hypocritical but I couldn't find a place to put it outside of here. Definitely not trying to back seat mod, just making a suggestion.

I have a suggestion to make these forums a little less unwieldy for update days.

Perhaps for the day of the update and the day after the admins could set a limit on the ability to start a new thread. For example, one would have to have a certain number of posts before starting a new thread. This would decrease the repetitive threads and help to focus people to the correct threads. There are already several threads that are just repeats of threads that already exist and it is causing information to be cross-posted, etc.

I have a decent understand of vB and other forums software (I have been an admin on another vB board for a while) and I am pretty sure there is already a plug-in to do this or something similar.

If this needs to be moved or closed, go ahead. Just trying to be helpful. ^.^/

    ARE YOU QUESTIONING OUR AUTHORITY?

To be honest, I don't think there were as many useless posts this update compared to the last. The mods have been pretty apt in cleaning up and keeping things tidy during the update.

Yeah, I just checked it this morning and there were like 10 duplicative threads, but they were modded pretty quick I guess. Just figured I would make a suggestion based on the forum plug-ins I have seen.
