    Any Roguelike players?

I'm a huge fan, just getting back into playing Nightmare of Druaga, such a great game, it's a shame modern-day gamers think it's so terrible that the game forces you to lose gear when you die. I personally love it, it makes the dungeon crawling (especially those bonus dungeons, where you can't escape) so intense...

Anyone else here play Druaga, or other Roguelikes? (Nethack <3)

After losing hundred of hours of farming to lag multiple times, I can say with certitude that I don't want to ever do it again. Problem isn't really losing gear, it's just that you will always lose it for the most retarded reason.

Roguelikes are single player, there's very few cases where you'd lose it for a retarded reason, if any at all. I think you must be mistaken as to the genre of game I'm talking about here, since you really can't have a working Roguelike online. I'm sure some people have tried, but you'd end up butchering core gameplay mechanics, I guess you could do it in small groups in instanced dungeons, but even that would be painful. You'd have to wait so long between each step, since everyone else would have to move too, the game would feel terribly disjointed.

The only thing I could see of that magnitude in Nightmare of Druaga would be if your power went out or something, but that sucks regardless of what RPG you are playing. Other than that, if you die, its your fault for making the mistake You have as long as you want before you decide on your next move, so use the time wisely...
