I'm switching to Sprint in two weeks from Verizon and I'm thinking about getting a Palm Treo 700wx (Windows OS). Anything better? $200 limit.

I've been with Sprint for as long as I've had a cell phone (1999?). I don't think I'll be renewing with them as service has gotten noticebly worse and customer service generally sucks and the phones suck.
Go with the Blackberry Perl with Verizon(?). You should be able to get it for under $200 i think.
Unless you live on the west coast, Verizon coverage is much much much better especially up in the Tri-state region. Sprint doesnt really suck, everyone I know who lives out west love them. Everyone here in the east loves Verizon. Just depends on where you live.
I forgot to mention the plan. We're switching from Verizon to use an employee rate at $15 per month per phone thing.Originally Posted by RakEx

That includes unlimited: text,sprint-sprint, web, email and 500 minutes per phone. So roughly with 4 phones (one to call the house) we're going to be paying $72 in comparison to my old Verizon plan which came out to $170-240. Which as you know (since we're dealing with the plans they had 17 months ago) was limited text/minutes minus Verizon-Verizon.
And I haven't really played around with a Blackberry, but my uncle has one and he says its a piece of shit.
Literally its a money saver switching regardless. And I'm getting each Treo for $200 so its not really busting my nuts.
Yeah the thing with South Florida is that NOBODY has it down here. Everyone rather has Cingular/Sprint/MetroPCS.Originally Posted by Cephius
I had problems with Verizon, whenever I go out to the west coast of Florida (and probably when I move up to Gainesville for school), there was NO signal at all. So yeah.
I definately agree, I blame the merger with Nextel. Im actually going to Verizon once my Sprint contract end in NovemberOriginally Posted by RakEx
I'll sell you a 650 or 700.
I guess the grass is greener, I just left Verizon to go to sprint last december, and I love it so far.Originally Posted by Intense
i love my metro pcs unlimited mins and texting for 5 60 bucks a month including free 411 and insurance. But its bad if you leave your area then the phones worthless but other then that its the best deal i can find and i get a 17% discount at sprint
Family member I have have Verizon and its working out well for them. Im moving there for them. Sprint has been a bitch to me, at least in my area.Originally Posted by XxSlusherxx
The sprint friends and family plan is awesome. Never used Verizon, but I've heard many good things about it.
As we all probably know, t-mobile and cingular/at&t suck ass.
Fuck sprint and with good fucking reason.
i think you can get the sprint mogul for 200 with a 2 year plan, i believe thats what a buddy of mine got. its a nice phone / pocket pc / w/e the fuck it is.
Sorry guys, but I'm thinking Alltel for FTW

I work with all the phone services, Sprints customer service sucks ass, Verizon has overpriced phones. AT&T is decent at the moment. For phones the Treo's are pretty cool, I personally like Blackberries the curve is savage I personally have the pearl and love it. I would wait for the Pearl 2 if its not out yet I believe its a 3G phone for AT&TIf you have any questions about customer service / random phone questions just ask in a PM or here.
For the record <^> sprints customer service makes me wanna kill myself
I've had Cingular since...forever and I've never not had service. Well, that's a lie. I went on a cruise once and I lost service for about 2 hours. The customer service has always been "whatever you say" even when I lied and said I thought my plan had unlimited text messaging (when it only had 400 messages/month) when I sent 700 messages one month. Nextel is a piece of shit. Every time I try to call someone with it it's "Please hold while we contact this Nextel subscriber" and it never goes through. Verizon seems to be ok, they have that cool ring back thing, but that's all I know.
I always 'outbar' someone anywhere I am with Cingular. "Oh man, I only have 1 bar." "Shit, I got 4. Wanna use mine?"
I am changing my services from cingular to T-mobile. Here in the east side I get terrible service and i drop calls consistently. Plus T-mobile has myFaves plan and cheaper texting/IMs (than cingular). The service is alright; my friend never (or barely) drops calls with it. I say look at your options.
Thats what I did, however instead I just switched before my contract even expired.Originally Posted by Intense
Once nextel and sprint merged, I started getting billed double. So every single month, by $84 bill turned into a $168 bill. SO everytime I called, customer service I got some splendid gentleman or lady from a nice third world country you could not hear at all. They end up telling me to pay the bill, and I will get a credit if they find a problem on the bill.... even though on the bill it clearly has every option listed twice including my insurance/text plans.
US Cellular has the best customer service on the face of the earth. However, they do not have local coverage in florida afaik.
I've only ever used T-Mobile and USCell, and my experiences with both have been great.
