    Additional <element> damage

    It seems everyone who have this does up to 50 damage while mine at Lv50 now do mostly 13-25 with very FEW mob reaching up to 38. so all of you who use additional damage also put in <element> attack bonus (12FP i think)? or it has a potency to go 45-50s alone?

    Depends on what you fight. If you fight someone who has phalanx, your enspell will do 0-30. If you fight someone with no phalanx, 0-50. If you fight something strong to that element, like enlight against a cactaur, its even worse than with Phalanx.

    doesn't phalanx just cut down physical attacks?

    Cuts off every form of damage. Enspell and magic too.

    I havn't see my add reach 40 yet against any mob. but I've got hit for 48-50s by almost every additional damage mob, even Lv38. and I have Lv50 phalanx with lots of damage resistance bonus if it helps at all.
    edit: i think i know why. Apkallu is wind based and i'm using add ice damage bonus.

    I think I've seen around 70 from enspells, might have been on a qutrub or something though.

    nvm, apkallu is water so has nothing to do with ice damage.
    since you hit 98 to qutrubs, you must hit 45-50 to other mobs then. May I ask what all feral skills you have? or can you just name the skills that is related to "light". Thx

    wow this is interesting, nothing to do with my questions but I've always get hit with add for 48-50 with phalanx on but after it changed to very defensive, additional hit me from 0 to 24 MAX! Finally beat a mandragora.

    Just enlight. Nothing else relevant that would make it more powerful.

    As a little of a side track on this post, do the various elemental spikes work in the same way? I know they will still be affected by the opposing mobs resistances, but if i give my crab blaze spikes, are they going to be less potent because crab is water based? Or am i just thinking into it too much?
